Description
Zebutal is medication that works both as pain relievers and sedatives. It is used to treat mild to moderate pain as well as tension headaches. Zebutal capsules are also indicated for the relief of the symptom complex of tension (or muscle contraction) headache.
Directions for Intake:
- Zebutal is taken orally, as often as indicated in the prescription of your doctor
- Usually prescribed to be taken one or two tablets every four hours
- Most effective to treat migraine headaches when taken immediately at the instance that the pain is felt
- Consume the entire amount that was prescribed even after beginning to feel better
- Take any missed dose as soon as it is remembered. However, do not double the dosage of your medication at any particular assigned time
- In case of Zebutal overdosie, seek medical attention immediately
Directions for Storage:
- Store this medication in a place away from moist, light and extreme heat and should not be accessible to children.
- The appropriate temperature for the storage area is between 59 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit or 15 to 30 degrees Celsius
Side Effects:
- Possible side effects include abdominal cramps, dizziness and drowsiness, sedation, shortness of breath, nausea, and vomiting
- Rare side effects include depression, excretion of bloody or dark stools, excretion of blood when urinating, painful or swollen glands, and unusual bleeding or bruising
- May cause incidences addiction and dependence to the medication
- Zebutal overdose may cause an allergic reaction to some users
Precautions:
- Consult your doctor before taking Zebutal. Make sure to give your doctor a complete background of your medical history
- Inform your physician of any other prescription or over-the-counter medications that you’re currently taking, especially the following medications: anti-diabetic drugs or insulin, anti-histamines like Tavist and Benadryl, blood thinners or anti-coagulants, aspirin, benzodiazepines, beta-blockers, and corticosteroids
- Inform your physician of any previous or present experience of having alcohol or drug abuse, allergic reactions to acetaminophen, caffeine, and barbiturates, asthma, depression, heart diseases, hepatitis and other liver problems, overactive thyroid, kidney problems, and porphyria
- If you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant, consult your doctor before taking Zebutal
- If you are lactating, it may be harmful to use Zebutal
